His contributions was mostly in the arts and humanities, particularly philosophy and anthropology. He was then appointed as Venat's successor following her retirement, a controversial choice between the members of the convocation.Despite his (assumed) age, he has no history of registered concepts, awards, nor any acknowledged expertise. His lack of aether-sight demands a dependence on other people. In spite of this want of acclaim, people all over Etheirys know of his name.

Lore

Saga's pre-ARR timeline. There won't be exact years and ages, for flexibility and changes in the future.

Garlemald invaded Dalmasca (30 years ago as of Stormblood)

  • Born around this time to an old and busy family. His older brother raised him.

Dalmasca's king surrendered to the empire after a couple years of struggle.

Living and trade became increasingly harder amidst the constant instability. Garlemald promises citizenship to "Aan" who serves in the military.

  • Family decided that some safety nets are necessary due to few of their member's declining health.

  • No one in the family was fit and young enough to serve except Saga (around 15-17 years old)

Pre invasion of Ala Mhigo

  • Saga was sent to Ilsabard instead of Doma (due to it being his father's homeland, and the empire needed to alienate their conscripts)

  • Immediately assigned to manual labor surrounding magitek manufacturing and maintenance. After a few years he was promoted to apprentice mechanic.

  • Life was hard but routine enough to handle.

Invasion of Ala Mhigo

  • He was in charge of maintaining several long-range test-weapons. Soon he was granted responsibility to operate them himself.

  • Nearing its conclusion, he received news that his older brother had died of illness. A wake up call.

Murder of an officer

  • Losing his anchor, he plotted his desertion and and started acting out of recklessness and 'morbid curiousity', just to test himself, or feel something.

  • He sniped an officer from afar, but they managed to find out what he did.

Discharge

  • The experience of barely escaping the military base and trekking miles on foot by himself through Gyr Abania towards Eorzea changed him as a person.

  • His time limit was the construction of Baelsar's Wall. Successfully sneaking past its operations with months of planning defined his confidence.

Seventh Umbral Era

  • He heard Hydaelyn's call when he had been living penniless around the Black Shroud for a while, taking up odd jobs that could give him money.

  • He survived the Calamity, and once the 'adventurer' title became popular he claimed to be one.

Some important relationships:--Aymeric-- the closest he had to a partner. Both are always busy and Saga's little effort at communication drifted them away. Every time they reconnect the guilt only piles up even higher.--Zenos-- the sole person who could give him the catharsis he needed in life. The only person whom he couldn't feel guilt for. In that sense, Saga only feels free when he's with him (morbidly attracted to him besides.)(as Azem)--Venat-- a foster relationship. She is more akin to an older sibling or cousin. Their dreams and missions for Etheirys aligned, and they trust each other to see it through no matter how much they will forget.--Hythlodaeus-- partners in crime. They first met in Anyder, and shared similar carefree and unremarkable goals. Hythlodaeus remained Balthazar's unconditional supporter even as he, as Azem, left those simple dreams behind.--Hades-- introduced by Hythlodaeus. They bicker as free and as easily as they breathe but Balthazar trusted Hades with his life, and Hades was more attached to him than he was willing to let on.

Hello there, this carrd will mostly be a library of Saga related fics I would be writing, in case anyone would want to browse through those. This is all because I, for some reason, decide to post those to AO3 anonymously (let's just say I'm too lazy to create a newer account.)I like keeping my privacy in-game, so you will need to ask me directly which servers I play in. I log in to play frontlines and occasionally other pvps. My fave class to play is healer (despite claiming to be an mch main...) Haven't played the game for a long time so I still got a lot of content to go through.Terrible at RPing. I just brainrot about my wol in my own time. Has not figured out mods and gposers and shaders yet, so most Saga content is drawn.
